Tracy Young founder of Young Consulting is a passionate, proactive person with the ability to make things happen.
Tracy started her career in Agency Recruitment 30 years ago by joining the oldest and most established agency in South Africa. Always focused on making a difference in peoples lives she set up her own successful recruitment business after being trained for 8 years by the best in the business.
Africa Appointments was a recruitment business with the unusual combination of being a recruitment partner for the top businesses in South Africa including South African Breweries, Telkom, Sun International, Standard Bank, Eskom and multiple Government departments and having an effective social empowerment division.
Projects included building a Library and Computer center in the largest squatter camp development in South Africa called Orange Farm and educating, mentoring and developing hundreds of previously disadvantaged people. Many who have gone on to do amazing things.
Tracy was known as a "Unicorn Recruiter" in her field, a person that has a natural ability to connect people to their purpose.
In 2004 Tracy and her family immigrated to Australia and she carried on her career in recruitment, setting up a business with offices in Sydney and Johannesburg, South Africa specialising in large international mining recruitment projects.
One of the successful projects was recruiting 48 Engineers and Trades people and their families for One Steel in Whyalla. Managing all the recruitment and logistics with her team in South Africa, Whyalla, the town and the schools flourished with the additional families.
Looking for a new challenge Tracy joined an international company with operations all over the world and took on the role of Country Manager Africa - Tasked with growing and developing the African Continent. Tracy moved to Perth, Western Australia and set up operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa with the two teams recruiting and mobilizing people from all over the world to Africa.
After a few exciting years and lots of travel Tracy decided to take all her knowledge and experience and try make a difference in the "not for profit" sector - starting in Mandurah and managing a job active / Workforce Australia site.

Tracy fully embraced this new environment and set about assisting the most vulnerable people in our community. Taking on multiple roles in the "system" and learning everything she could including becoming a qualified trainer and developing a training program to empower people in the company to deliver meaningful supports focused on employment outcomes.

Tracy relocated to Esperance and co-founded SEEDWA, a non-profit organisation. Through SEEDWA, she established the SEED Community Hub and SEED Business Hub, and led various community projects and initiatives, including the successful advocacy for essential public transport in Esperance. These efforts culminated in Tracy's nomination for Citizen of the Year.

Tracy stepped away from the day to day management of SEEDWA and started a new initiative - Young Consulting in 2022 - going back to her roots of employment and taking all her years of experience and focusing on assisting people to find their purpose by individualised career paths.
